My name is María, and I’m the creator of Bajo el Cielo Estrellado, a space for anyone who feels curious, calm, and a little awestruck looking up at the night sky.
This project grew out of one simple passion: looking at the universe. Ever since I was a child I’ve been fascinated by lifting my eyes and watching the stars draw stories across an infinite background. Over the years I discovered that this fascination connects people all over the world, across borders and languages. That’s where the idea for this blog came from, a place where the science, the poetry, and the photography of the sky all meet.

At Bajo el Cielo Estrellado we want to bring the universe closer to people, to show that astronomy isn’t only for experts and that anyone can enjoy the sky with a little knowledge and a lot of curiosity.

I’m someone who loves the night sky, writing, and sharing what I learn. I’m not a professional astronomer, but I’ve spent years observing, studying, and trading experiences with other people who are passionate about the cosmos. This blog is my way of bringing scientific curiosity together with an artistic eye.
